Game Boy is the story of James Roach, a habitual and obsessive gamer. It's a snapshot of his life during a month in the Autumn of 2006, as he meets up with his closest friends, and reaches a crisis point in his life.
It's a novel about gaming: a homage to the gamers I've met and games I've played in the past thirty years. It's a story of obsession, love, and learning to let go; a tale of growing old, and growing up. Required reading for anyone who's ever played Mario Kart with a bunch of friends.
